![]() Ah and no, I would not rush to go to an unsupported Yosemite (I expect Avid will never support Yosemite with Pro Tools 10). Download this Fix it solution (kb 2739501) and launch it. And since this is the only way for you to test out Pro Tools 10 while keeping your current Pro Tools 8 install O would be doing that even if I did not need to upgrade OS X versions. To make sure your uninstall goes successfully, Microsoft has made a Fix it tool for everyone. Once you have that all tested and working OK you can copy it over your current boot partition. Only use system migration assistant (aka "assassin") to move over user files (no apps or drivers). Create a new partition (or get a new drive) install a full clean install of OS X on that drive, do an install of Pro Tools 10 and all your plugins (some of which you may want to get rid of RTAS version of and use AAX-32 versions). Planning on building a computer but need some advice. Do I need to use DDU to delete Nvidia drivers when upgrading from 2070S to 4090 comments. if you are needing to upgrade OS X versions to support Pro Tools 10, then do *not* do an insitu upgrade (not recommend by Avid for good reason). Should i uninstall it before swapping the card and choose the option to shutdown in DDU tho Or should i just do as the guy does and swap before, then uninstall and restart. Yes you really should do an unisntall with clean option. Or is that just not compatible when upgrading? There you'll find the Pro Tools item in the list, Select it with your mouse cursor and then click the uninstall/change tab in the title bar of the window to uninstall. ![]() I would prefer if its possible to save plugging settings and all that other stuff. If you run in to problems you can uninstall the current version of Pro Tools by going to the Windows Control Panel>Programs and Features. Do i really have to do a CLEAN uninstall?
